WA mining and earthmoving company to transition fleet to biodiesel

WA Business News are reporting that Bunbury based mining and earthmoving contractor Piacentini & Son will use biodiesel from South Perth’s Australian Renewable Fuels across its entire fleet, with plans to purchase up to 8 million litres in the next 12 months.

In October 2006, Piacentini & Son Pty Ltd commenced buying biodiesel from Australian Renewable Fuels. Based on outstanding operational results, Piacentini will now use this renewable fuel across their entire fleet.

Piacentini & Son Pty Ltd now use a 20% blend of ARF biodiesel in their diesel fuel and report very positive results for economy, power and maintenance.

John Lillywhite, CEO of Australian Renewable Fuels said:

Piacentinis are pioneers in the use of renewable fuels in the environmentally sensitive south west of WA. They are setting an example to WA companies and achieving fantastic business and environmental outcomes at no incremental cost to their business.

Piacentini & Son Pty Ltd are now working with Australian Renewable Fuels to supply biodiesel to their Northern operations in Gingin, Cataby and Eneabba.
