We don’t normally cover hybrids but this Australian developed hybrid car is worth a mention. The Age reports that a hybrid demonstrator developed by the CSIRO in 2000 is now languishing in a Victorian museum. Axcess LEV was never fully developed because the programme was axed in the face of low fuel prices. If only development had continued Australia may have been leading the hybrid race instead racing to catch up. Still, there is hope. The CSIRO want their car back so they can continue development. Let’s hope they get it.
