Moteur Developpment International (MDI) of France have developed a number of air powered cars. The cars reputedly have a top speed of 110kph and a range of about 200km. To refuel you either plug into 220V for three to four hours or visit a suitably equipped service station where you can fill your tanks in two minutes.
MDI has reached an agreement with Tata Motors of India for Tata’s support of further development and refinement of the technology, and its application and licensing for India. If the agreement is successful and MDI can improve on its 14 years of development, who knows, we may see air powered cars in Australia.
